Plymouth Community Dental Service – Sedation Provision

PCDS are commissioned and are still accepting (subject to referral criteria) referrals for provision of:

• oral surgery (including with sedation),
• special care (adults and paediatrics including with sedation and general anaesthetic)
• children (for one off treatment using conscious sedation under inhalation sedation or GA exodontia).

With agreement with NHS Commissioning Hub, the service has recently adapted its adult phobic referral service and will now only accept phobic referrals if the patient fulfils special care criteria.
